What is Break-fest?
Break-fest is the ultimate plant-based breakfast event where you can start your day in an inspiring way. Enjoy surprising workshops, flavorful plant-based snacks and coffee, and connect with others in a cozy atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, inspiration, or just a pleasant morning, Break-fest has it all.

Break-fest will take place on Saturday 18 January 2025.
Where will Break-fest take place?
Break-fest takes place in and around the Kanarieclub, located in De Hallen Amsterdam. The entrance is through the Foyer, accessible via Hannie Dankbaarpassage 47, 1053 RT Amsterdam. For detailed directions Google Maps feel free to check Google Maps.
How much time do I need for Break-fest?
At Break-fest, we work with time slots, which means you can only enter during the specific slot indicated on your ticket. Plan your visit within this time and enjoy all the workshops, treats, and activities we have to offer.
Is there a minimum age for Break-fest?
Visitors under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Break-fest is designed for an adult audience, and there are no specific activities for children.
Can I bring my pet?
Due to hygiene concerns around food and the expected crowds, pets are unfortunately not allowed. This ensures a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.
What’s the best way to get to Break-fest?
Break-fest takes place in the heart of Amsterdam, at De Hallen. We recommend arriving by bike or public transport—it's often quicker and more eco-friendly. For visitors traveling by car, there’s a parking garage available beneath De Hallen.
Is Break-fest wheelchair accessible?
Break-fest is largely wheelchair accessible. The venue has been designed to ensure accessibility, with the exception of the activities “Sip & Paint with Pansy” and “Meditation with Alkan Çöklü.” These take place on an upper floor accessible only by stairs. What does a ticket cost, and what’s included?
A ticket costs €15 and includes access to all workshops, plant-based snacks, and coffee. Your ticket also allows you to attend one speaker session of your choice. Be sure to select your speaker when purchasing your ticket to secure your spot. Purchases at the Makers Market and additional costs, such as delivery fees for having your artwork from the Sip & Paint workshop sent to your home, are not included in the ticket price.
What ticket options are available for Break-fest?
There are two types of tickets available for Break-fest:
- Early Riser Ticket: For the morning enthusiasts, granting access to Break-fest from 9:45 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Snoozer Ticket: For those who prefer a later start, with access to Break-fest from 1:30 PM to 4:15 PM.
Both tickets offer the same access to workshops, plant-based snacks and coffee, and a speaker of your choice. Choose the ticket that best fits your rhythm!
Why are there time slots for entry?
We use time slots to manage crowd flow and ensure a relaxed experience for everyone. You can choose a Early Riser Ticket or a Snoozer Ticket, based on your preference for an early or later start to the day.
Can I change my ticket after purchase?
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be changed after purchase, but you are welcome to sell your ticket to someone else. Each ticket can be scanned once at the entrance.

Do I need to print my ticket, or can I show it digitally?
Printing is not necessary; your ticket can be easily scanned from your phone at the entrance.
What food and drinks are included?
During Break-fest, you can enjoy delicious plant-based snacks and coffee, all included with your ticket. Additional refreshments are available for purchase separately.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
At Break-fest, you’ll be treated to delicious plant-based snacks and drinks throughout the day, so you won’t miss a thing! For this reason, bringing your own food, drinks, glass bottles, or flammable materials is not allowed.
Is the event suitable for people with allergies?
We do our utmost to clearly label allergens in all dishes, so everyone can enjoy with peace of mind. However, if you have severe allergies, such as a nut allergy, please note that participation is at your own risk, as cross-contamination cannot be entirely ruled out.
What should I bring to Break-fest?
All you need is your digital ticket on your phone. We’ll take care of everything else to ensure you have a fantastic day!
How can I pay at Break-fest?
Break-fest is a pin-only event. You can easily pay with your debit card at the bar and for any purchases with partners.
Are there lockers or a cloakroom available?
Yes, there’s a free cloakroom where you can safely hang your coat, allowing you to enjoy Break-fest worry-free.
Are photos allowed at Break-fest?
Absolutely! We encourage you to capture and share your experience! However, please note that some workshops may request limited photography to ensure everyone can fully enjoy the moment.
